Soon... Los Angeles. Now... Southlake.

Ah, Xanga, how so many have forgotton thee...

This post is on MySpace also:  www.myspace.com/sonicmaj

I did one of these from Wisconsin... now Texas

I am in the guest room of my dad and stepmom's house.  I just saw some aunts and uncles that I haven't seen in about 10 years.  I'm never quite sure what to say to them.  They ask, "What are you doing now?"  I reply, "I'm about to move to L.A. and start trying to be an actor."  Then I feel weird... I don't know why.  But they're from Missouri.  I don't expect that we all would ever see the world with similar perspectives... but they are family nonetheless.  And my Aunt Sue makes a damn fine cobbler.
I will, in fact, or maybe not fact just yet, be moving to L.A.  Glendale, actually... and hopefully moving day will be Monday... three days from now.  I'm psyched.  I'm going to audition every day I can.  I'm going to start really working toward a career that will hopefully be lucrative.  I will be having fun, that's for sure.  I can't wait.  I'm looking forward to it.
I miss California.  It's hot, yes.  But there's no humidity.  Here it's humid AND hot.  And I killed a bug tonight that was the size of a Hot Wheels car.  It crunched.  CA is pretty darn awesome when you compare it to the other 49 states.  Colorado is nice, too.  And I'd like to live in New York, I guess... but it's expensive.  Plus, my Michelle is in CA.  I'll be happy to return to her soon.
So, what else is new?  I've been reading a lot more.  I finished a novel yesterday and started right up on a new one.  Thanks Josh/Brendan.  And I decided that every day once I'm in Los Angeles will start with me thinking of what I can do to help my career.  WHAT AM I GOING TO DO TO HELP ME BECOME AN ACTOR?
Well, there's much to be done tomorrow... right now it's 11:22pm--Texas time.  The night is young in my home state.  Have a good night.

Friggin' Cal State Fullerton

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is now also done.  We got a great response from it!  Now I've got free time... weird.

So... I haven't heard back about graduate programs yet.  I know UCSD is a "nay," USC's response, I found out via mail today, is "nay" also.  Roosevelt University's my best bet at this point.  And Cal State Fullerton... well... I will stab them all in the throats over there at CSUF.  I received a voice-mail from a professor there which told me that March 5th was the day of MFA Acting auditions... 10am.  I showed up yesterday at 9:45 (always good to be early) and found myself in their Performing Arts building surrounding by guys and girls with clarinets, saxophones, violins, and flutes.  The two guys at the table told me, "Today's auditions are for the Music program."  They had no idea about Theatre auditions.  I came home, irked, and wrote an e-mail to the professor who left me the voice-mail regarding the 5th.  She responded with a, "I don't know who told you that.  Sorry, but it's too late.  The class is already formed."  Whatever... I didn't really want to go there anyway.  I hope somebody at CSUF gets the plague.

And by the way, Panic! At The Disco (my new favorite band of the moment) is really good.  Search for them; listen to their stuff!  It's rocktastic.

One less thing to worry about...

Schoolhouse Rock Live, Too! is done.  It was a blast.  The people at RCP are really nice, and I got 250 bucks out of, a credit for my resume, and a couple of new contacts.  All in all, a very positive experience.  I'll post a picture or two soon.

Next, my focus will be my USC audition... and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.  Contact me if you want more info. but I'll also be posting a bulletin.  Then there's an audition for CSU Fullerton on March 5th.  I'm tired.

I need to get back to work though.  My bank account has dipped into a zone I don't approve of at all.  I need some tips in my pockets.

Valentine's Day was great!  I got a nice shirt, a CD, and a video game.  Thank you, Michelle.  You always take care of me.  Oh, and she made me cookies!  Yesssssss...

Last, but not least, The Bottle is up to 76 views on www.youtube.com and 61 views on Google Video.  Support Jeff and I and watch our short film.  Check out his MySpace, my previous blog... or search for The Bottle on either of those two sites mentioned above.  Thanks!

New Year's came and went... fairly mellow.  A CLUE-packed night.

I'm doing two shows now... one in Riverside and one in Murrieta.  Today was the first day that I had rehearsal for both of them... consecutively.  I'm beat.  So much singing and dancing.  Tomorrow I hope that I'm asleep until noon.

I didn't get into UCSD... I don't know how many people knew I even applied there.  To be honest, I don't remember applying there.  But they called me two weeks ago to confirm my audition time.  I didn't get a callback after my audition on Saturday.  No worries.  I'm psyched for U/RTA and my USC audition in February.

Gosh, I'm exhausted.  Next Sunday Michelle's taking me out to dinner and a show in San Diego.  That's thrilling!  And I need to start getting off book for my two shows, and possibly learning a new Shakespeare monologue.

Busy, busy, busy.
